Our Dental Sedation Process

Each situation is unique; we will ANALYZE YOUR HISTORY: When patients are interested in sedation for their appointments, we always begin with an initial consultation. First, you and your doctor will discuss the different sedation options and your specific health history.

Preview any risks and DISCUSS CONCERNS: Next, the doctor will address any risks associated with sedation. If you have any concerns or questions about our sedation methods, our doctors are eager to explain and put you at ease.

You and your doctor MAKE AN EDUCATED DECISION: Lastly, you and the doctor can decide together which option is the best for you and your situation. You are then free to schedule your next appointment with the right sedation option for you.

Sedation FAQs

  • Q: Is sedation covered by insurance?

A: In our experience, sedation is usually covered at 80% by most insurances. If you are concerned about price, we will discuss your coverage with your insurance before your appointment.

  • Q: Are there people who can’t be sedated?

A: Every person’s health history is unique, which is why we always start with a consult and review every patient’s history before agreeing to sedation. Most people are able to use sedation, but your doctor will discuss your specific situation with you during the consultation.
